OYS has a vibrant racing program. Each Wednesday and Thursday more than 30 boats head out to the racecourse to enjoy spirited competition.
Our skippers are always looking for an extra hand to help out.
If you are interested in joining us but don’t have a ride; come on down to the club. Try to be there by 6 PM at the latest as most boats head out by 620 PM.

- I am looking to crew for a boat in one of the yacht racing series. Thursdays are preferable but other nights are a possibility. As a teenager I was very involved in racing dingys. After that I spent a lot of time sailing/ racing a Contessa 26 with my father. I have not sailed in many years but a recent trip to the carribean and sailing Hobycats has reignited my interest in the sport. I am a 50 yr, a Professional Enginneer and live in Oakville. - I have been sailing for 4 years and have completed OYS White Sail I &II , North U Trim, ROC-M Licence and PCOC . Occasional raced both spin and white sail.
